Thank you for visiting the Willow Park Day Nursery website.

Willow Park provides day care for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The nursery opened in 1998 and has an excellent reputation for quality day care. It is owned and run by Diane Barratt who holds a level 4 certificate in Early Years Practice and level 4 Child Psychology.

Our Mission Statement

  • To provide high standards of care in a stimulating environment
  • To provide excellent relationships with families
  • To provide quality education in the pre-school years

Your Child at Willow Park

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. Willow Park works in collaboration with Calderdale Council in respect of Steps to Quality and has attained level 2 certification.

We recognise that whilst in our care, we are preparing your children for later learning. Each child develops his/her own preferred way of learning. We encourage them to explore, ask questions and develop confidence. Play is well planned in different areas with resources that encourage development of confidence, independence and social skills. Our staff interact creatively with the children, extending language and thinking and helping them to understand the world, in a safe, loving and secure environment.

Our Nursery Staff

One of the most important factors in your decision in choosing a nursery will be the staff who care for your children. Our staff:

  • Are a team of experienced and qualified nursery practitioners, many are long serving members of staff.
  • Are carefully selected from a number of applicants and have full background, police and reference checks before being allowed to work in the nursery.
  • Are continuously monitored. They are highly trained and are actively encouraged to participate in further training to enhance their skills. 85 % of our staff are level 3 qualified and some are pursuing degree standard.
